Our Home

Durango Poodles is located 10 minutes from Durango, Colorado on a 32-acre property we call “Clydius Acres.” We named it after our dog Clyde. It’s truly a dog paradise, with a forest of tall Ponderosas for our dogs to run and play in! You are welcome to visit any time.
Our Philosophy
While our Poodles are likely to be show-quality, our focus is always on temperament, health, and companionship. Our goal is to give you a best friend for life.
For that reason, we do not crop tails or remove dew claws. We think your puppy is perfect just the way he is.
We also typically don’t give our poodles the haircut you commonly see at dog shows. We think our dogs are beautiful with a full coat. (But if you want to do it with your poodle, that’s fine with us!)
Our Poodles are bred with love. Your puppy will be born in our home in Durango, CO and will enjoy plenty of sunshine and fresh mountain air each day as a part of our family.
Because our primary focus is on breeding excellent family pets, we do extensive socialization training with all of our pups. We use a program called Puppy Culture to create confident and happy pups who love to learn. Your puppy will have plenty of interaction with children and will be exposed to a wide variety of sights, sounds, and smells during his first eight weeks with us, so he is sure to be a confident, well-adjusted dog.
Your puppy is truly a part of our family until the day you take him home.
We believe that breeding dogs is all about building relationships. We consider ourselves a “forever” breeder. We hope you will stay in touch for many years after you take home your puppy. You can always call us with questions about training, grooming, and health.
Areas we Serve
Located in the Four Corners region, we primarily serve the states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.
Arizona: Phoenix is only about 7 hours away!
New Mexico: Albuquerque and Santa Fe are just four hours from us. Farmington is just 45 minutes away.
Utah: Salt Lake City is approximately 6 1/2 hours from us.
We do not ship puppies. It just doesn’t feel right to do that to a puppy, and plus, we want to meet you in person. But please contact us for more information if you do not live nearby. when puppies are ready to go home, they are still small enough to ride in a plane cabin so you are always welcome to fly here to pick up your pup!
